December Ipsy Bag Review

Some of you may not know this but I am a makeup fanatic. I can spend hours a day watching makeup videos on youtube and learning new tips and tricks and hacks. My love of makeup led me to subscribe to a monthly beauty subscription. I know there are a ton out there but the one I went with is the Ipsy Glam Bag. I have been receiving the Ipsy Glam Bag for just over a year now. It’s only $10 a month and when I originally subscribed to Ipsy, there was a waiting list. It took months to finally get through and start getting my Ipsy bags. Now, you can just go straight to their website (here) and sign up and subscribe.… View Full Post

Event recap: Moredinary “She Who Believes”

A couple of weeks ago, I had the joy and pleasure of attending a wonderful event called “She Who Believes” by the founder of the Moredinary organization, Roconia Price. When I tell you that this event gave me my life, it gave me my life. The atmosphere was inviting, there were good vibes flowing in every direction possible, the space (this cute yoga loft) was absolutely adorable and appropriate for the event, and the activities, which I’ll explain more about later, were so much fun.  One of the first things that we did was a twist on modern day photo booths. After my last post I took a little break to finish finals for my summer classes and the anxiety of posting after having taken yet another break became almost overwhelming. I would literally just avoid making this post so that I didn’t have to deal with it. It wasn’t until I asked myself, “Why are you so anxious? It’s a… View Full Post

Book Review: Chasers of the Light

I decided to read this book after two people who are fairly close to me recommended it. Chasers Of The Light is interesting in the sense that it is both a book of poetry and photography. Tyler Knott Gregson did a beautiful job of capturing his thoughts on paper and then those words in photos. One reason that I am sure this book was recommended to me is the collection of typewriter poems that Gregson shares throughout the book. In short, he found a typewriter in a store, bought it, and typed whatever came to mind on whatever scratch paper he could find. He has poems written on receipts, book pages, scrap paper, everything. He once mentioned how the typewriter is different because with that… View Full Post
